Many artists faced challenges during the pandemic and chose to discipline themselves my making one piece a day to keep their creative juices flowing. Bay Area artist, Stephen C. Wagner, chose each day to create 6" x 6" paper collages with paper fragments and found objects mounted on cradled panels.
His "Fragments" series of small mixed media collages celebrates papers and their textures, using raw found papers with worn edges, folds, tears, and scratches. Broken rulers and sections of tape measures are often included to emphasize the small scale.
